French Market / 11AM – 7PM / The Naperville Woman’s Club will be holding a French Market from 11AM to 7PM on Fri. Nov. 15 at The Old Stone Church in downtown Naperville, 14 S. Washington. Local artisans and vendors will be selling unique merchandise in a European inspired setting. Featured goods include products for cooking, snacking, wines, bakery goods, one-of-a-kind gifts from French linens to antiques and jewelry.

The Market will be highlighted with a “Holiday Cooking Demonstration” by Momma’s Cuisine, Johanna Cook. Cook is an entertaining, home, cooking and lifestyle expert making regular TV appearances and guest judge at cooking competitions. For more info, visit our website www.napervillewomansclub.org.

The Columbian Exposition – Through the Eyes of a Visitor / 2PM / Take a step back in time 120 years ago as you visit the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893 in Chicago. Your guide, dressed in the fashionable clothing of the 1890s, will take you on a stroll through the fair during this interactive presentation that will be held from 2 to 3:15PM Sat., Nov. 16. You’ll experience the sights, sounds and smells of the fair without ever leaving the comfort of your chair! Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations are recommended, limited seating. Blue Star Banner Presentation at Judd Kendall VFW Hall / 2PM / Naperville area families with a loved one serving in Active Duty Military, Active Reserve or National Guard are invited to be recognized during a special ceremony to present Blue Star Banners and pins. Join local dignitaries who will assist in reviving the tradition to remember the men and women who protect our freedoms.

Sponsored by the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 and the American Legion Post 43, 908 West Jackson Ave., this event will give military families an opportunity to meet each other and to learn more about the USO and local military organizations such as Operation Support Our Troops-America and Naperville Responds for Our Veterans.

Refreshments will be served. All are welcome. RSVP by Nov. 13.
