The inaugural Edward Hospital and Half Marathon begins Sunday at 7AM on the athletic campus of North Central College.
- The Marathon will begin and end at the North Central College Athletic Campus, Porter Ave. and Loomis St.
- 3,500 runners will begin in a wave start, with 100 runners leaving every 30 seconds.
- Parking will be at a premium in downtown. Be sure to plan ahead.
- The course runs throughout Naperville, with much of the route winding south of 75th St. Be sure to review traffic plans and detour routes. Most roads will return to normal at 2PM.
- There are three main detour routes: Book Rd. to Washington St., 75th St. to 87th St., and Bailey Rd. to Ring Rd.
- Marathon organizers have gone to great lengths to ensure safety and to minimize road closures. Much of the route is on trails.
- The Marathon will be broadcast live on NCTV17.
- Many downtown merchants and restaurants will be having sales and specials for Marathon spectators.
