The City Council will host a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Social Services Grant workshop in October to discuss funding priorities for the two grant programs for program year 2014.

city of naperville squareThe workshop will be held at 5PM on Tuesday, October 29 in the City Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. City staff will provide a presentation of proposed funding allocations, and they will answer questions from Council members.

While no public feedback or comment will be accepted during the workshop, the workshop is open to the public, including previous recipients of both grant programs and all others who are interested in applying for grants in the future.

The workshop is being held to discuss funding priorities based on feedback that was given at a July public meeting where participants learned about potential funding opportunities that are available through the two programs. Following the workshop, proposed CDBG and Social Services Grant allocations will be formally adopted by the City Council at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
