As I begin this column, I’ve just returned from the toilet paper (ribbon cutting) ceremony for the new washrooms in Central Park. Yes—I did feel a little odd attending a ceremony for new bathrooms, but I got over it when I saw I wasn’t the only one in attendance. What a great addition to the park and the entire park campus in downtown Naperville! I know this public facility has been a long time coming.
The summer tradition of Municipal Band concerts kicks off at 7:30PM on Thurs., June 6, in Central Park.
But even before the Municipal Band takes the stage, the YMCA will host the first of five movie nights this summer in Central Park on May 31. These great family events are open to all community members on behalf of the YMCA. Special thanks goes out to the City of Naperville for helping make these movie nights possible through partial funding from the SECA Fund.

Spend some quality free time with your family this summer. Bring your friends, picnic dinner, blanket and bug spray for an evening under the stars. Movies begin at dusk.
